Obituary
Keith Raygor, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Keith was born and raised in Minnesota. He joined the U.S Air Force at 17 where he was a drummer in the Air Force band. After the Air Force, he moved to Colorado where he played drums professionally in various touring bands.
As a young boy, Keith caught the magic bug when he was introduced to the art by a professional magician in Los Angeles. After Colorado, he moved to Naples, Florida where he married Summer, the love of his life and started performing professionally as a magician, specializing in close-up magic. He ultimately retired in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Keith preformed throughout Florida, throughout the U.S., abroad and on TV. He became a long-time member of the famed Magic Castle Club for magicians in Hollywood, California and of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He ultimately developed a popular multimedia presentation where he incorporated his music background and magic into a unique mentalism show. Those who saw Keith perform will recall a consummate entertainer and comedian who created and presented genre-defying illusions.
Never content with sitting still, Keith loved travel (Iceland, Scotland, Ireland, and St. Maarten were favorites), photography, researching genealogy, performing for children as “Professor Patches”, and exploring the history of magic in cultures around the world. He learned piano and guitar and became an accomplished songwriter and recording artist. He was a lifelong prankster. He will be fondly remembered by all who met him. Keith is survived by his wife, Summer, daughter, Cariana, stepdaughter, Marelyn, stepson, Sterling, and siblings, Kent (Jennifer), Kean (Lisa) and Keri-Lynn (Don) and many other loving in-laws, cousins, and friends.
Travel well, Keith, until we meet again.
A Celebration of Life for Keith will take place on April 7th, from 1-4 pm at the New Smyrna Beach Garden Club (2000 Turnbull Bay Road, New Smyrna Beach, Fl 32168)
