Kelly Stack Friesen, age 41, passed away surrounded by her family on June 27, 2022, in Ocala, Florida.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Kerr Stack, of Dunnellon, Florida.
Kelly was born on August 12, 1980 in Miami, Florida, to parents Arthur Stack, Jr. and Peggy Kerr Stack. In 2005 she moved to Dunnellon, Florida. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2007 with a master’s degree in library science and accepted a position as a librarian in the children’s section at Marion County Public Library, where she worked for more than 7 years. In 2016, she took a position as a Media Specialist at Emerald Shores Elementary School, where she worked for 2 years.
Kelly was a loving and devoted wife. She and Dan married in 2012. Even though they had no children, Kelly was a doting Aunt to her nieces and nephews, Benjamin Kerr, Jacob Stack, Preslee Palmer, Lennex Kerr, and Emberlee Palmer. Kelly’s family was one of the most important parts of her life.
Kelly was a voracious reader which guided her career choice. She absolutely loved working as a children’s librarian, with baby story time as her favorite activity. Her love of books may have only been surpassed by her love of dogs. Among other things, Kelly will be remembered for her kindness, and an infectious smile that lit up the room.
A celebration of Kelly’s life is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Baldwin Brothers Chapel at 954 East Silver Springs Blvd in Ocala, Fl. All are welcome to attend. Pink attire is requested, but not required. A reception will follow the service in the community room at the Ocala Police Department at 402 S Pine Ave in Ocala, Fl.
