Obituary
Kelly McVeigh of Port Orange, Florida, born on October 21, 1985, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016, surrounded by family that had been touched by Kelly in many ways throughout her life. She was the daughter of Jack and Debbie McVeigh. She is survived by her sister, Becky Cicchetti, brother-in-law Michael Cicchetti, and nieces, Michaela and Gulianna. Kelly was born in Manchester, CT. She attended St. James Elementary School and East Catholic High School, where she met her best friend, Antaya Radding Lee. She also attended Goodwin College.
Kelly was loved from birth by aunts, uncles, cousins, Godparents, a large group of family, friends, and those who knew her throughout many community activities. Everyone was a part of Kelly’s love and joy. She happily moved to sunny Florida and enjoyments were many: going to the pool; stamping and scrapbooking; attending church with her sister; snuggling with her cat; reading, TV, music, and movies; and social gatherings and vacations with family and friends.
Kelly was a special gift to all those who were inspired by her innocence and good-heartedness.
Kelly’s life will be celebrated on February 12, 2016 at a mass at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1014 N. Halifax Ave., Daytona Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: www.arcvolusia.org.
Kelly’s life may seem short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the time one lives. She gave us all courage and hope, and reminded us of how precious life is.
