Obituary
Kenneth (Ken) Edward Whitfield passed away at home with family by his side. Ken was a Penn High School graduate. Ken was a retired truck diver and before that he was employed at Sibley Foundry in South Bend, Indiana. Ken was an Army Veteran from the Vietnam War Era. Ken was an active member of the Moose, Eagles, VFW, and the American Legion. Ken loved to camp, ride his motorcycle, and tell stories.
Ken is survived by his love, his wife, Cathy Whitfield. His daughter, Christeen Johnson, sons, Ken Manwarren, William (Billy) Whitfield (Linda), and David Whitfield. His brother, Jerry Whitfield (Pat), sister, Carol (Ken Swoveland), brother, Jimmy Whitefield, brother, Glen Whitfield (Angie), and sister, Mary Faltynski. Ken is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Ken was proceeded in death by his Father, Jack, his Mother, Juanita, Stepmother, Ruth, as well as two brothers, Dick, and Gilbert.
Funeral Services with Military Honors and Color Guard are pending at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL currently. For family and friends in Florida, a Celebration of Life will be held on April 11th, 2021 at 3PM at the Forrest Moose Lodge 2535, 6485 S Hwy 314 A, Ocklawaha, FL 32179. Please bring a covered dish. Indiana family and friends will have a Celebration on Life in Indiana at a later date.
