Obituary
Kurt M. Linders (Mike)
Mike lost the long battle with cancer on August 3, 2018. He was born in Manchester, CT, on September 4, 1947 to Carl and Helen Linders, and moved to this area in 1995. He worked in the apartment repair field until 2012. He also worked as a long time bartender at the Daytona Beach Elks lodge.
He is survived by his wife Jean of South Daytona, daughters, Sandra Goodson, Bremerton, WA and Tracy Kelly, Rocky Hill, CT, grandkids, Terrianne, Amanda, and Anthony, all of Marion, IA, and MacKenzie Kelly of Rocky Hill, CT. Great grand kids, Kaylee and Elizabeth, Marion, IA.
Mike was a life member of the Halifax River Moose Lodge, where he had served as Governor and District President. He was also a member in several other clubs in the area until the illness got to him. Some of his recent favorite things have been quiet time at home with Jean and Catmandu (that would be the cat), some of his favorite things from the past were gambling machines of most any kind, Budweiser and road trips with Jean and good friends Becky and Dallas. There are no services planned per Mike’s wishes. We would like to thank the Halifax Health Hospice in Port Orange and Edgewater for their care and the comfort they provided.
Mike, you worked hard, played hard and fought hard. Rest in Peace, Mr. Mike.
Baldwin Brothers, Port Orange is in charge of arrangements.
