Obituary

Larry Dale Christman passed into the Lord’s hands on Tuesday, April 3rd at the age of 65. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed a passion for fishing, golf and politics. Larry was born on July 17th, 1947 in Allentown, PA to Oscar and Ruth Christman and graduated William Allen High School in 1965 as an accomplished wrestler and student. Upon graduation, Larry enlisted in the Air Force and completed 4 years of service including a tour of duty in the Vietnam War. Larry settled in the Orlando area in 1969 where he graduated from Seminole Junior College and held a position at Crown, Cork, and Seal for 41 years until his retirement in April of 2011. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Sandra H. Christman and 2 Children, Katie Norris (husband Jeffre) and Kevin Christman (wife April). Mother Ruth Christman of Allentown, PA; sisters Carol Albright of Macungie, PA and Linda Martinez of Breinigsville, PA; mother-in-law Lillian Harrison of Jacksonville, FL and a host of brother and sister in laws, nieces, and nephews.  4 Grandchildren: Jack, Ava, Ben, and Kayla. Preceded in death by father Oscar Christman of Allentown, PA and brother Terry Christman of Allentown, PA. Larry will be remembered for his passionate and outgoing personality and his ability to connect and relate to all those he came in contact with. His faith and family devotion will always carry on as a shining example for those he loved. While his soul rests in heaven, his imprint on life will carry on. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there - I do not sleep. I am the thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints in snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. As you awake with morning's hush I am the swift-up-flinging rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. Do not stand at my grave and cry,

Remembering my Dad and missing him so much! He was such a wonderful man and an amazing father, and grandfather. He had such a big heart, a big personality, and a love for everyone. He was such a selfless man, always thinking of others. He had nicknames for all he loved; he enjoyed sports, especially coaching Little League when we were kids. He had such a passion for politics/debate and a love for fishing. The simplest things in life made him happy, mostly his family, and ultimately, that is what he fought so hard for all the way to the end. Thank you for being the best role model in the world and for loving us all. God's peace, Dad. You will never be forgotten and you are always in our hearts.

Again, we are so sorry for your loss. Larry was such a wonderful man. He was interesting to talk to and even better to debate. He was always a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to the entire Christman family. Larry is now in heaven having a political debate with the angels!!!
