Obituary
Lawrence (Larry) B. John (77) a resident of Ocala, Florida passed away on May 22, 2021.
He was born on October 20, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. He majored in Business Administration by attending Walsh College and Oakland Community College, in Troy, MI.
His knowledge of business was exhibited throughout his career working at: Santa Rosa Christian School, Santa Rosa, CA as Chief Financial Officer; Robinson Industries, Inc., Beaverton, MI as Director of Sales & Marketing and United Technologies Automotive, Bay City, MI as Plant Manager (Designed and built a state of the art 120,000 SF manufacturing plant).
Larry’s hobbies included his love for classic cars, and enjoyed boating on the Saginaw Bay in Michigan.
He is preceded in death by Vera John (Ackley), mother, Ontario, Canada and his siblings Claude John, Claudine John, Stewart John, Ontario, Canada.
He is survived by his wife Nora John (Steger), Ocala, FL, Andrea M. Wright (John), daughter, and James Wright, Jasper, GA, Daniel A. John, Son, Coppell, TX
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:00am at Church @The Springs Southwest Campus 2141 SW Hwy 484, Ocala, FL 34473. Memorial Contributions may be made in Larry’s Memory to the Church @ The Springs, or Kindred Hospice, 1320 SE 25th Loop #101, Ocala, FL 34471.
