Obituary

Lawrence Tuck, formerly of Needham Mass and Denmark, Maine passed away on Saturday February 10, 2024, in Venice FL.

Graduate of Dedham High School, Associate degree from Wentworth Institute, Bachelor degree Northeastern University, Master of Business Administration Babson College.

He is Survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice, two children Melissa and Jeffrey and three grandchildren Sydney, Ella, and Alexandra.

He retired from Boston Edison as a Division Head of the Steam Service and Sales Division, then as a program director for Jobs for Youth in Boston Mass.

He was an avid collector of antique cars, loved the outdoors and bicycling, a great husband, father, and proud grandfather. Also, past president of the Denmark Lions Club, Board member Lake Region Environmental Assoc in Bridgton, Maine Plus various volunteer positions in the Venice area.

Service to be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery on March 26 at 12:30pm. Reception to follow at Milano club house.

A donation can be made in his name to The Friends of the Venice Library and send to the library earmarked for the Friends at Venice public Library C/o Friends of the Venice Library 300 Nokomis Ave south Venice, Fl 34285.

    Janice and family, Larry was always able to bring a smile to whoever walked into The Friends of the Venice Library bookstore. He, especially, enjoyed the little children who would pass through the doors on their way into the library. Larry loved life and his family and he will be missed. Rest in peace, Larry.
