Linda Suzanne Lewis was born on October 7, 1949 to Gerald and Dorothy (Peggy) Watkins of New Smyrna Beach. She was born at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Fl. She was their first born of four children. She is survived by her husband Eric Lewis of New Smyrna Beach, her former husband Gregg Perry, Canton, Ga and a son, Shane Perry (Mechelle) Ormond Beach, Fl. She also left behind three siblings: Debbie Godfrey (Mike), Dennis Watkins (Rhonda) and Patty Lewis (Woody). She was blessed with three grandchildren, Brandon Perry, Haileigh Perry, and Aaron Perry (Sarah) and they blessed her with nine great grandchildren. She was loving and caring towards all of them and loved being called Mimi. She was a great Mimi.

Linda graduated high school in New Smyrna Beach in 1967. She continued her education in music at Tomlinson College in Cleveland, TN. She married Gregg Perry in 1971 and they ministered in The Church of God of Prophecy until the year 2000. In 2004, Linda joined Faith World in Orlando, FL and sang as a backup vocalist in their music department. She was also the pianist for the seniors’ group there.

In 2014, she met Eric Lewis while working at Advent Health Hospital in New Smyrna. They married in 2018. At that time, Linda was attending Edgewater Alliance Church and singing on the praise and worship team until 2023 when her health prevented her from participating any longer.

Music was her love and worship was her expression of that love.
