Stretch was always a second father to me. Always enjoyed our conversations like they were straight out of Popular Science magazine. He was on another intellectual level than most of us but he always knew how to explain things or discuss things that interest him in a way that made us feel comfortable and able to understand. For this he taught many interesting things. And how can I forget the time Tom. Tommy, and I were talking trash to opposing basketball fans in HS and when those fans came over to us, the gentle giant Stretch calmly stood up, and basically said not on my watch to them haha. He always cared for and protected the ones he loved. This picture is from the second time Mom and Dad came to see me while I was in LA. I was beyond happy to be just a small part of all the wonderful road trips they took. Lloyd, I will always cherish these memories I have of you and I’m sure gonna miss you big guy! Until we all meet again, rest easy in that recliner, drop those reading glasses low on the nose, and soak in all that information from your magazines and watch over us from above. Love you Dad!

Lloyd was part of my life as a teenager. As a member of our gang we worked on cars together, caught rides to school together and cruised downtown on Friday and Saturday nights. When I returned home to Fort Myers after an absence of 31 years I was pleased to learn that his house was only 3 from mine. We will miss Lloyd and believe he is in the hands of God and will have eternal peace.

You were like a father to me through all these years. You were present for every special occasion that was important to me. Many years ago, faith had a hand in creating a very special childhood friendship with your precious Tammy and the bonus was having you and mom in my life during the last 40 years. If by chance you run into my momma, please give her one of your big and strong special hugs from me. Oui and I love you, will miss you immensely, and will pray and think about you often. Wear your handsome crown proudly, with honor and may eternal life be everything you dreamed it would be. ❤❤
