Obituary
Lois M. Halm, age 80, of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12th, at Hope Hospice House, on Diplomat Pkwy. She was in the presence of her family.
Lois was born, in Villisca, Iowa, to Vince and Louese Lowenberg. Lois graduated from Creston High School, she was in Future Nurses, Peppers and many other clubs. Instead of becoming a nurse she met Marvin Halm, moved to Tingley, Iowa and started a family. In 1963, they moved to North Fort Myers, Florida. Lois worked in the drapery business at Custom Window Decor and Robb n Stucky. She enjoyed her family and friends. Lois loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, family and friends. Lois loved sewing, cooking, boating and time at the cabin. Lois was a member of St. Francis Catholic church, St. Therese Catholic Church, Womens Auxilary VFW NFM Post, Guiding Light Women’s Club, and Guiding Light Community Church.
Lois is survived by children: Teri Halm, Susan (Michael) Wilson, Grandchildren: Christopher, Taylor and Allie Wilson. Brothers: John Lowenberg, Glenn (Sue) Lowenberg, Max (Pat) Lowenberg, Dale (Sharman) Lowenberg. Sisters: Mary Baker, Joan (Dallas) Maeder. Sister in law Bert Lowenberg, many, many nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Marvin Halm. Parents, Louese and Vince Lowenberg. Siblings: Paul, Phillip, Leo (Barbara), Jimmy, Dean, Gene Lowenberg, brother in law Wade Baker, and sister in law Jenny Lowenberg.
Lois loved life to the fullest and enjoyed each day. Her family would like to thank all the medical personnel and Home Health Nurses and especially the Hope Hospice Staff that cared for her in her final days.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Lois Halm (Grandma Lois) at Guiding Light Community Church on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Address, 1360 Touchstone Road, North Fort Myers, Florida 33903. Family will receive friends after services at church or that evening at home.
