Obituary

Funeral Mass for Louise Patricia O’Dell, 65, New Smyrna Beach FL who died Sunday, April 3, 2011 will be 9:30 AM Friday, April 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Smyrna Beach FL. Louise was born in East Detroit, Michigan. She was retired from the banking industry. Her family remembered her passion for flowers and gardening. Louise has been active in the New Smyrna Beach Garden Club since 1993. She was a creative floral designer and has won several Blue Ribbon Awards. She was invited to design for EPCOT on several occasions. Horticulture was also her passion. She won New Smyrna Beach Garden Club Garden of the month. Often you could find Louise out in her gardens tending to her many plants and orchids. She also enjoyed travelling with her daughter Karriann throughout the world. She was a member of Sacred heart Catholic Church New Smyrna Beach FL. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 21 years Harold, son Kevin (Patricia) Krupa of Rochester, MI, daughter Karriann Krupa of New Smyrna Beach, step children Lois (Ken) Gagne of Kissimmee, FL, Paul O’Dell of Orchard park, NY, grandchildren Cory and Aleeha Krupa, Colleen (Tony) Raccioppi, Robyn (Bobbie) Shields, Katherine (Dan) Simpson, Sean and Ryan O’Dell.   Donations in Louise’s memory are requested to the New Smyrna Beach Garden Club PO Box 1648 New Smyrna Beach FL 32168.

    We were saddened to hear of Louise's passing. She was one of the good ones and will be very much missed by all who knew her.

    What a beautiful wonderful woman. I shall never forget her hand knitted shoulder wrap she sent me during my stuggles with Chemo therapy. Her heart is golden and lighting up heaven as we speak.
