Obituary
Lucie Elfriede Allen, 83, of Inverness, FL and formerly of Columbia, SC went to her heavenly home on May 7, 2022.
Lucie Allen was born on January 27, 1939 in Berlin, Germany to the late Anton and Elfriede Klimmeck. She met her late husband Robert F. Allen, Jr. while he was stationed in Berlin with the US Army. Together they traveled throughout Europe and enjoyed spending time with family and friends before making Columbia, SC their home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Robert F. Allen, Jr. She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah (Bernie) Atkinson and Angela Lutz; five grandchildren, Aaron Atkinson, Lauren Bove, Alan Atkinson, Kristen Lutz and Michael Lutz; four great-grandchildren Dylan Atkinson, Anna Carroll, Jayden Carroll and Jackson Atkinson.
Lucie’s fiery spirit, quick wit and strong will were endearing to all. She was an avid reader and loved gardening. Her formative years were spent growing up during World War ll, where she learned many valuable lessons that she shared with her family.
A memorial service is being planned for the near future.
