Obituary

M L “Bunk” Spikes son of Joe & Pearl Spikes passed away June 23rd.He was a son who honored & blessed his parents. A brother who loved his 5 brothers & 6 sisters. A faithful & devoted husband.An involved & adoring father. A doting grandfather & great grandfather.A good friend. A proud rambling wreck from GA Tech. A builder of custom homes, a spinning plant, office & restaurant plus other projects. A Christian who shared his witness with all those who crossed his path. An adventurer who traveled to many places. Large & in charge yet gentle, kind and sensitive to others’ needs. An amazing, brilliant diamond in the rough. He blessed and enriched many lives. A Celebration of his life will be held July 16, 2016 at 11 am, First Baptist Church of Leesburg.

    So sorry to read that M.L. has passed away. We remember him just as his obituary stated. He was a wonderful and kind human being and did share Christ whenever possible. Joe and I walked into a model home and there was beautiful Christian music playing. We decided this is the place we wanted to be. M.L. built us our "dream home" in Lago Vista.
