Marcia Banks, 86, of Edgewater, Florida passed away on Monday, August 24, 2009. Marica was born in Port Huron, MI on March 30, 1923. Marcia's family moved to Detroit and in December of 1941 she married Neil S. Banks of Detroit, MI whose family lived next door to Marcia's. After many years of wintering in Florida, Marcia and Neil moved permanently to Hacienda del Rio in Edgewater 11 years ago. Marcia had an outgoing personality and was active in the Michigan Club. She was also honored to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).Marcia was a proud homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She is survived by Neil, her husband of 68 years, sons Robert Banks of Edgewater and Gary Banks of Oakland California as well as granddaughter Christina and step-grandchildren Jaime and Dana Morrison of California.
A celebration of Marcia's life will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Hacienda del Rio Clubhouse.
