Obituary
Margaret M. Santagata, 97, of the Villages, FL passed away on December 2, 2018. She was born on January 29, 1921 and the oldest of seven children to the late Eugene and Sarah (Green) McCarron. She resided in Pawtucket, RI for most of her life and retired from Texas Instrument in Attleboro, MA. She moved to Florida in 2009.
Margaret was a beautiful person always putting others first. As a mother she raised and supported her daughter on her own, providing everything a child could ever want or need from a parent but most importantly – unconditional love; and, at the same time cared and provided for both her parents. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and found joy putting her knitting and crocheting talents to charitable causes like Project Linus and St. Timothy’s Karing Krafters.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Verville and son-in-law Arthur of The Villages, FL; her granddaughter Julie Sisk and husband John and a “GG” to Elleana & Nolan of Mt. Kisco, NY; one surviving brother James McCarron and his wife Camille of Pawtucket, RI; “daughters of her heart” Lucille Garland of North Providence, RI and Nancy Miller of Pawtucket, RI; nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her siblings Frank McCarron, Eugene McCarron, Katherine Mancini, Sally Kelley, and Agnes Faucher.
Interment will be at a later date at Mount Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Rhode Island.
Know you were loved and we miss you. You were the best mom a child could ask for. My heart aches but I know you are now at peace and with grandma, grandpa and family.
You will be loved and remembered forever.
