Obituary

Marsha Willbee Erickson, 76, of Winter Park Florida, died peacefully in her sleep on September 22, 2021. She was born in Ann Arbor Michigan to Charles and Patricia Willbee and graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, Michigan.  Marsha went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts degree from Rollins College.  She used those degrees as a teacher and a counselor in Michigan, Alabama, and Colorado before settling in Winter Park, Florida. Marsha was a member of Council of 101, Orlando Museum of Art, Friends of American Art, a Blue Circle member of Foundation for Foster Care, Interlachen Country Club, and First Congregational Church of Winter Park.  She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and for her generosity and infectious fun-loving personality.  She was also a lover of all things football and rooted for her Michigan State Spartans every Fall.  Above all things, Marsha offered great wisdom and was non-judgemental in her approach to life.  Marsha never met a stranger and was loved by all her friends in Winter Park.  She is survived by her son, Lon Schreur (Grace), daughter, Mary Ford, sisters Sara Battles and Patty Friedman, and 4 grandchildren.  Marsha was preceded in death by her loving husband Ronald Erickson, her parents, and her brother Charles Willbee.  A celebration of life is planned for October 10, 2021 4:30pm at Interlachen Country Club in Winter Park. Donations in Marsha’s name can be made to First Congregational Church of Winter Park, 225 S Interlachen Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789.
