Obituary

Mary Ann (Skylis) Hart of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 19th, 2021.

She is survived by her children: LeeAnn, Shannon (Terry), Tammy (Bryan) and Dennis (Cathrine); 6 grandkids: Cameron, Emily, Summer, Paige, Isabella, & Nicholas, and is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Hart Jr. II, brother, Nicky Miskew and son in law, Alan Zeliasko (husband of LeeAnn).

Mary Ann, daughter of the late Robert Skylis and the late Marion (McCarthy) Skylis, grew up on Bellevue Island in Lake Orion with her 9 brothers and sisters: Bob, Tom, Jim, Dennis, Janet, Beth, Doug, Charlie, & Nicky.

Mary Ann loved every aspect of being a registered nurse. Most of her career was spent at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital where she was an intricate part of the orthopedic unit. After moving to Florida, she continued her nursing career at Cape Coral Hospital until she retired.

Mary Ann was an avid lover of animals especially her beloved dogs, Lola and Ginger. Having a strong Catholic faith, she regularly sent prayers to others in need. Mary Ann’s family and grandchildren brought her heart so much joy. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, Fl.
