Obituary
Mary Dianne (Goddard) McEachern, age 77, formerly of Duxbury, MA, died of a heart related issue on September 30, 2020. Dianne was the beloved wife and best friend of Robert F. McEachern. Loving mother to her daughter, Robin and her late sons, Chris and Bobby.
Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Leona (Cassidy) Goddard. She graduated from Somerville High School in Massachusetts and married the love of her life, Robert, shortly thereafter. Robert and Dianne settled in Duxbury, MA where they raised their children. For many years Dianne worked at Babson-United working her way up to Vice-President of Human Resources. Robert and Dianne eventually moved to Florida to enjoy retirement together.
Dianne was a member of the “Red Hat Society” where she was known as “Lady Di”. She loved anything New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox related. She also loved playing slots & poker with her husband and friends, cruising, visiting family in Vermont, crossword puzzles every morning, and Elvis Presley. Her very favorite thing was to go to Austin, TX to spend time with her daughter, Robin, treating themselves to spa days, cooking meals together, lots of shopping, and rooting for Gronk on Sundays!
Dianne is predeceased by many siblings but shared a special bond with her late sister, Margie, who passed in 2018. Dianne is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was very loved by her many friends and will be missed dearly.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of The Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in Wildwood, FL. Gifts in memory of Dianne McEachern of Summerfield, FL may be made to the charity of your choice.
A memorial Service to celebrate Dianne’s life will be held Friday October 9 2020 at Baldwin brothers Wildwood Chapel at 11:30 AM.
the Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the service hour.
