Mary Francis Anthony, 92 of New Smyrna Beach died Friday, June 21, 2013 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. She was born August 21, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Mary and Joseph Klein. Mary married the love of her life Nicolas Anthony on November 29, 1941. They settled in Atlantic City, NJ to raise their three children. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, shopping, growing orchids and still at the age of 92 could finish a New York Times Crossword puzzle. As her husband stated, "She was the most beautiful person I know". Mary’s loving and gentle personality guided her husband, children and grandchildren to who they are today. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Nicholas; three devoted children, Paul Anthony, Steve (Laurie) Anthony and Marilyn (Brooks) Brown; seven cherished grandchildren, Paul, Brooks, Camille, John-Paul, Michael, Jennifer, and Melissa; two sisters, Katherine Sorensen and Louise Hamblen, 24 nieces and nephews, and lifetime friend Lucille Weidig. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8PM, Monday at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach. Graveside services will be held 1PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens.
