Obituary

Mary Mooney Bradley, 75, of Edgewater, Florida, and formerly of Pavilion, New York, passed away at Halifax Health Hospice Center in Edgewater, FL on April, 22, 2018. She was the daughter of Katherine  Mary Gay and Paul Francis Mooney.  Mary is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Douglas Bradley, children:  Steven Bradley and wife Cathy of Penfield, NY, Kathleen Bradley Guilbault and husband Jeff of Anderson, SC, and John Bradley and wife Jaime of Prosper, TX.  She is also survived by six grandchildren:  Mary Margaret Guilbault, Robert “Bobby” Bradley, Caroline Bradley, Jackson Guilbault, Harper Bradley and Hayes Bradley. She is also survived by sister:  Maureen Mooney Reid of Rockville Centre, NY, and many loving cousins, nieces,.nephews and friends. She was pre-deceased by a brother James Mooney of Stuart, FL.  A graduate of Delevan-Machias Central School class of 1960 and SUNY Geneseo class of 1964. She was a Social Studies teacher at Pavilion Central School for 27 years before retiring in 1997.  She loved to participate in water aerobics, read, travel, win at Scrabble and Words with Friends and spend time with her many friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held at Coronado Community United Methodist Church in New Smyrna Beach, FL on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 am. It will be officiated by Rev. Laura Berg, with a reception following at Club Rio, located at Hacienda del Rio. An additional service will be held in Western New York at a later date. Memorials may be made to Halifax Health and Hospice at 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129 or www.halifaxhealth.org/hospice or to the Mary Bradley Memorial Scholarship Fund at Pavilion Central School. Donations to the scholarship fund may be sent to 632 Beaver Creek Drive, Macedon, NY 14502 care of Steven Bradley.

    Condolences to the family and please know she was a hugely special teacher to me. She was more than a teacher, in fact. She was a role model and a person who taught me to respect people without ever addressing it.
