Matthew James Crosby born on March 13, 1985, suddenly died on April 11, 2024 at the age of 39.  He lived in Venice, Florida since 2012 and formerly lived in Audubon, New Jersey.

Everyone who knew Matt loved him and his infectious smile.  Matt lit up every room he walked into.  He loved children, especially his nieces and nephews!

Matt participated in numerous sports including Audubon Little League and Soccer, Bellmawr Street Hockey, Audubon Roller Hockey, Medford Ice Hockey, and Audubon High School Football.  Matt was 2nd Team All-Conference.

Matt was a graduate of Audubon High School and then attended Widener and Rowan University where he received his Associates degree.  He went on to work in trades where he was a builder.  In Florida, Matt worked at PGT.  He also was the owner of Crosby Professional Drywall and Painting.

Matt is survived by his loving parents Maurice and Kim (Stott) Crosby as well as his brothers Jason (Melissa) and Kevin (Stephanie) Crosby and sister Colleen (Kermit) Barthol; and his nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Matt’s life in the future for all those Matt loved and touched deeply.  His friends and family will be notified.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help build Jake’s Place playgrounds and programs for children and adults of all abilities to play and interact together at buildjakesplace.org (In the donation box write, “In memory of Matt.”) or 5311 Magnolia Ave, Pennsauken, NJ 08109.
