Obituary

Matthew Brandon Taylor was a cherished son, brother, uncle and friend.

Matt was a cherished son to his parents, Terri Barnes and Kevin Taylor. He was born September 20, 1982 in Charleston, West Virginia. He was a fun, energetic and athletic child. He was always in sports. He excelled at everything he tried. As a man, he was kindhearted and a caring son. He would do anything for his parents. His life will be a legacy to the Taylor name and will be remembered always!

Matt was a cherished brother to his brother Kevin “Lee” Taylor. As children, Lee and Matt were inseparable. They went everywhere together. From camping in the woods to fishing in the lakes. There wasn’t a memory that Lee has that Matt wasn’t right there with him. As men, they remained close. They spent a lot of time on the water. Whether it was on a boat or on the shoreline, they always had a pole in their hand hoping to catch a big fish. His memory will live on with Lee throughout the remainder of his life.

Matt was a cherished uncle to his nephews, Brayden and Zachary Taylor. They always called him “Uncle Beef.” They loved playing basketball, fishing and hanging out with “Uncle Beef.” They will forever miss those wonderful times they have spent with him and the love and kindness that he showed them.

Matt was a cherished friend to all who knew him! As a child, he had lots of friends playing sports and at school. The friendships he made then have lasted and remain today. As a man, he never met a stranger. Everywhere he went, he left with a new friend. Always wiling to extend a helping hand. His memory will live on with all he was friends with.

Matt “Uncle Beef” life touched so many and will live on in the relationships that he had as a cherished son, brother, uncle and friend.
