Obituary
The Villages, FL – Michael B. Harvey, 43, of Norwich, died unexpectedly while visiting his parents on Sunday, December 24, 2023, in Leesburg, FL. He was born on September 18, 1980 to Cheryl (Hart) Harvey and William E. Harvey, Sr.
He is survived by his parents, a brother and sister-in law, Tina and William Harvey, Jr., a nephew, Kurtis Harvey, and a niece, Olivia Harvey. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Marilyn and Ron Burridge, Dawn and Robert Harvey, Kelly and Mike Longo, Vicki and Russ Roeder, Sandra and Neil Hart, Jr., and Carol and Louis Porter III. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Patricia (Holland) Porter, Louis M. Porter, Jr., Olivia (Brigham) Harvey, and George Harvey.
Michael was a graduate of Robert E. Fitch Sr. High School, in Groton. He was employed at General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division, as a Sr. Mechanical Designer. He loved spending time with his friends, in particular Kyle and Theresa Pounch and their children, Nate and Ally, as well as Keely Miner and her family.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service for Michael will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, 6:00 p.m., at Harkness Chapel at Connecticut College, 270 Mohegan Ave., New London, CT 06320.
