Obituary

Michael “Big Mike” Gordon passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice Tavares on February 19th 2024 after a tough battle with cancer at the ager of 69 years old.

Mike was born March 20, 1954 to Hannah Lou Gordon in Boyd County Kentucky but he was raised in St Petersburg, FL.

Mike is predeceased by his brother John Hansberry

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Lisa Warren Gordon, lovingly remembered by his daughter Olivia, grandson Cayden and granddaughters Naomi, Jazmyne and Mariah. Sister in law Denise Brose, Brother in law Chris Warren. Sister Ruth L Avena ; Brother Gerald David Mailey and his wife Sandy, Nephew David and niece Amanda.

Mike worked as Branch manager for Atlantic Drilling Supply for about 10 years until he retired.

He was a huge fan of ALL sports, back in the day he enjoyed playing basketball on the weekends with his friends. Those who knew him knew he shot a mean 3 pointer. Mike was a very ‘friendly’ guy – he never met a stranger, he was a great husband, father, brother, grandfather and a good friend to all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held on March 23rd at LakeShore Clubhouse, 1208 Lee St, Leesburg, FL  34748 from 2pm to 5pm.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Mike Gordon’s Go Fund Me Page https://gofund.me/bb89e827 or you can choose a Cancer society of your choice in his honor.
