Mr. Bloomer was my violin teacher. He always helped me practice and laugh. My sister had Mrs. Bloomer as a teacher and I was his student. Today, Is Teacher appreciation week and I wanted to thank him for always giving me a safe place to be myself by playing music. I used to be in a hospital and my parents were getting divorced. I didn't want to do anything but he taught me how to escape from all of that through music and find my peace in God. I remember when he gave me his CD for "Healing In The Storm". I just wanted to say thank you for doing so much for me and I hope Mrs. Bloomer and Noah will find peace. Miss you.~ Cami AKA Miss Pancake hand

Mr. Michael Bloomer was my first violin teacher. I wasn't his student for very long but I can confidently say that he has made a lasting impact on me as a person and as a musician. He provided me with a solid foundation for me to grow from as a violinist, and I still have the bow he gave to me about 4 years ago. I still have his signed CD that my father and I still listen to from time to time. I didn't hear about his passing until very late after, and found this page today. I really am thankful for him and I still think about him when I play. I am proud to call him my teacher.

When my wife and I got married years ago, Mike played at our wedding. Years later, when I became principal at Aloma Elementary School, I had the distinct pleasure of becoming reacquainted with Mike and getting to know his family as his children attended Aloma. Mike would volunteer to come in and play his instruments for the children. He also played for the residents at the assisted living facility where my parents were. I was very saddened to hear of his passing, as he will be truly missed by many. Mike had a strong love of God, and I'm sure he's up there entertaining all the angels with his musical talents!

I met Mike through a mutual friend soon after I moved to Florida. We clicked instantly and started playing a wide variety of gigs together. Michael was instrumental in introducing me to more players on the local scene, he was a selfless friend and a nice guy to hang with. I love his style on the bass, very self-assured and assertive, his love of the music obvious in his every move. But most of all it was his cello work that moved me and I recall telling him I'd love to hear him play that instrument more because it expressed his soul better than any other. Taken from us way too young, with, I am certain, many plans still unaccomplished but at the same time, leaving a rich legacy of performing, teaching and composing...a legacy that will live on. My thoughts, as well as my wife's Diane's, are with the family in this time of deep grief. Rest in peace, dear friend

Sending our heartfelt condolences to Mike’s wife and children! I performed many concerts with Michael in the 90’s while my family was in Orlando and have many cherished memories of working with him. Michael was a special person and a joy to work with. Although we moved I recently reconnected with Mike when I learned what he was facing! It was so good to see his beautiful family in pictures and all he was accomplishing with his music. His music and his faith remain very inspirational! I know he is in heaven praising God and playing heavenly music. My husband and I send love and prayers to his family! RIP my friend! My heart goes out to Michael's lovely wife and children. I had the honor of working with Michael in the late 90's at our law firm. Michael was a talented paralegal and a valued member of our staff. But most important, he became a dear friend who even though we did not chat frequently, we usually had annual contact.

Michael will be so missed by everyone who knew him. Those of us who worked with him are deeply saddened by his passing. However, knowing Michael's faith, I rejoice that he is with the Lord and providing beautiful concerts in Heaven. Rest in peace, old friend.
