Obituary

Nancy Wunsch Gunter

Age 72 of Eustis Florida passed into eternal life Thursday April 21, 2022 surrounded by family and friends.

Nancy was born in Lakeland Florida where she attended Lakeland High School, class of 1967, where she was proud of being the President of the Lionettes.

She also attended Polk Junior College, before graduating in the class of 1971 from Florida State University majoring in Fashion Merchandising. She began her career as a manager and buyer at May Cohen in Jacksonville.  In 1980 she was lured to Southern Bell (BAPCO) where she had a stellar 29 ½ year career in the Real Yellow Pages Division in Orlando Fl. Nancy was a 5 time winner to Bell Souths’ prestigious President’s Club. Upon her retirement in 2009 she and her husband Gary began G&N Enterprises, a successful antiques and collectable venture.

Thanks to her first husband (Dennis) Lee Watson, sports director at WFTV, Nancy met many celebrities including Jimmy Hendrix, Paul Newman and Richard Petty to name a few. Anyone who knew Nancy knew she LOVED Elvis Presley and considered herself his number one fan!

She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Elizabeth (Betty) Wunsch, father Phil G. Wunsch, son Gary Gunter II.

She is survived by her husband Gary Gunter, brother William (Billy) Wunsch (Judy), of Umatilla, niece’s Kamryn Moffett, Riki Wunsch-Ramos and nephew Will Wunsch, stepdaughter Ginny Woodmansee (Woody) as well as three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
