Obituary

Pamela Joyce Hardy was called home on July 4, 2022, at the age of 67 in Orlando FL. Born in Tampa FL on April 2, 1955, she was the youngest of 2 children. Raised in Orlando FL, she graduated from Florida Technological University Magna Cum Laude in ‘76 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, The University of Central Florida Summa Cum Laude in ‘82 with 2nd Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, and Webster University in ‘98 with a Masters of Arts in Computer Resources and Information Management. After a brief tenure with Tupperware, she was hired by Lockheed Martin where she had a distinguished 26 year career winning many awards and retiring as a Chief Systems Engineer in their Enterprise Business Systems division.

Pamela was preceded in death by her Mother Betty Joyce Hardy, brother Wayne Thomas Hardy. She leaves behind her Father Julian Thomas Hardy, sister-in-law Naida Ortega Hardy, her niece Elizabeth Ann Hardy, nephew Matthew Thomas Hardy, and a collection of extended family and lifelong friends.

Known as Aunt Pam to both family and friends, she took enormous pride in her family and provided care for both of her parents for the last 20 years. Her faith in Christ, love, and generosity to her family will be her eternal legacy. Those that knew her best would describe her as a brilliant, humble, kind, and funny Christian. She loved cheering for her beloved UCF Knights and Jacksonville Jaguars. She also enjoyed spirited discussions on political topics. Aunt Pam will be most remembered for the lifetime she spent helping her family when they were most in need.

Per her request, her mortal body will be buried at sea in the Hardy Family Gulf Stream burial grounds (N28.38 W80.01), where it will travel the earth for eternity. The family asks in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
