Obituary

Sanford, FL – Patricia (Patty) Clark, 59, formerly of Pine Hill, NY passed away Sunday May 15th, 2022, at the Advent Health Hospital in Orlando, FL. She was born May 14, 1963 in Glen Cove, NY, daughter of Richard (Dick) Clark and Lee Ann Clark of Surfside Beach, SC. She graduated from Onteora High School in 1981 and attended Cobelskill College. Patty joined the U.S. Army in 1983. She lived in many states over the years including New York, Maryland, Texas, California, Florida, Virginia and a short stay overseas in Germany. She primarily worked in problem management in the technology and banking industry most recently as the Director of Problem Management at Freddie Mac, previously the Vice President of Problem Management of Citi Group.

Over Patty’s life, she contributed to every community she lived. She touched many lives in her lifetime. In the 90’s she was a foster parent over the years to a total of 44 children. She spent many years as the chairman of the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society in Maitland, FL. Her most beloved and passionate project was volunteering with the Texas National Cemetery Foundation.

Patty leaves behind both parents Richard and Lee Anne Clark, son Joseph (Marsi) Smith of Texas and daughter Anne Marie (Evens) Jean-Pierre of Florida. She also leaves behind her two brothers Richard (Lynn) Clark of Colorado, Donald (Heidi) Clark of NY and her sister Susan (Scott) Greene of NY. Lastly, she leaves behind 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and who loved her dearly.

Patty will be missed by all she knew. May she rest in eternal peace. Celebration of life services to be planned for September 2022 in Myrtle Beach, SC. The family asks, in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Texas National Cemetery Foundation in Patty’s name. Please mention her name in the comments.
