Obituary
Memorial for Patrick Pone
The world lost a very special soul on December 18th, 2015 with the loss of Patrick Pone
We were all so blessed to have him with us all these years…..Patrick was born on March 7th, 1972 in South Miami Hospital. He fought his entire life to show his strength and resilience….at one and a half years old the doctors stated he would never walk…..he did…..they also stated he would never be able to help himself…..he did by assisting in eating all of his meals….the doctors also said he would not live past 10 years of age….he did for another additional 33 years…..
It is hard to explain but he touched so many lives and made so much difference in this world with the people that he touched….If Patrick could talk we would have said a few things to some very special people…..
To Aunt Sandy — Thank you for staying with me for 35 years….you were the shining light that I could go to when my mom had to work….you played programs on TV that I know you didn’t want to see but played them over and over for me….you fed me my meals and helped me bathe and you let me follow you around the house from room to room….I thank you for putting up with my noisy nights when I could not sleep….., every-day for 35 years….
To Papa Joe — Thank you for playing your music in the music room….for 20 years you were there to help me and my mom get through some really rough times….thank you for trying to keep me safe and out of the kitchen so I would not get burned when mom was cooking…..the last of course was being there when I came home from the hospital where you helped to lift me into the wheel chair and pull me up in bed….not many men would have stayed around for all that you have done in making me clap and laugh every-day for 20 years….thank you for being part of our lives…..they broke the mold when you were born Papa Joe.
To Aunt Dee Dee — I took with me your special love and spirit….thank you for the 43 years of loving me…singing to me for hours in a car and in the hospital….making me laugh and always remembering me on my birthday….you hold a very special place in heaven….but I am sure you already know that! Thank you for being there with me in the hospital…..my mom needed you and as always you were there for us….never questioning what was needed…..you already knew and made sure we were taken care of in our every need…..I am wrapping my arms around you right now letting you know you are loved.
To Uncle David — You as well have been with me 43 years….one of the first to hold me in your arms when I came home from the hospital 43 years ago…. You have always been there to help us with anything we needed and I know this helped my mom get through some very hard times….that has continuously been comforting….you were a special man in my life with Papa Joe……thank you for your special heart Uncle David
To All the people that would listen to my mom talk and brag about me…..Thank you for your support of her…..she feels very blessed to have known so many that love God and know that I am in a much better place….now I can walk….now I can see my loving family that has already passed to be ready for me and welcome me…..my mom always said I was perfect just the way I was…..wow…..she could see this in me… and now God welcomes me with his open arms as another special angel enters into heaven….
People at wanting to know where they can contribute in his name…..Cornerstone Hospice is a non-profit group that was truly involved with Patrick for the last two weeks of his life….we would love to have contributions in his name go to this group:

Sorry for your loss. For years I always heard you talk about your son.Things you would say added inspirations to my life.
You were such a great and caring Mom.
There are no words, however much love and many blessings sent your way. As in 2 Timothy 4:7, indeed Patrick fought the good fight.
Love, KK

This was the first time, Patrick met the puppies. They stayed with Pat for over 45 minutes. Pat "Look what Mom got Me!"
