Obituary

In loving memory of Paul Francis Sprague, Sr.

(February 7 1962 – September 28 2020) Always in our hearts, may he rest in peace.

Paul was born in Liberty, NY, and came from a large family consisting of his father, Francis, his mother, Carolyn, and his four brothers: Charlie, Steve, Jean and Jerry. He spoke of his happy childhood and always shared many memories of that with us.

Paul grew up in Liberty, graduated high school, went to Alfred State College, and moved to Texas for a brief time. Then he left Texas and spent the remainder of his life here in Florida.

Paul and I met in Florida and have been married for 22 wonderful years. My heart aches by his passing. I love and miss him every day.

He was a devoted family man who was active and enjoyed the outdoors. Some of his favorites were fishing, swimming, walks on the beach, miniature golf, art festivals, and music concerts. He also loved St. Augustine, Walt Disney World, and SeaWorld.

Paul was a faithful Christian man. Whenever the Cornerstone radio station hosted Share-A-Thons to raise money, he would always volunteer. He would also donate food to the radio station monthly to be distributed to those who need it.

Paul had a deep respect for the men and women in the armed forces. He would buy restaurant certificates and hand them out whenever he met active military families and veterans.

His work career was as an appliance sales man and servicer, which he worked for many years. He was awesome!

Eventually in 2009, Paul, myself, and our daughters, Summer and Hannah, started our own business, Paul’s Appliance Repair and Home Service LLC. Over the years, we have met so many wonderful people and made so many friends because of this. One of Paul’s wishes was for myself and our daughters to continue serving the great community. And that’s what we’re accomplishing.

Paul is survived by myself – Dawn,  our daughters Summer and Hannah, our sons Paul Jr., his wife Ingrid and Christopher, his brother Steve and wife Barbara, his brother Jerry and wife Laura, along with their son Jerry Jr. and daughter Tiffany, his stepmother Joan, his aunt Joan, and his cousins Karen, Glen and Alan; mother-in-law Virginia, brother-in-law Ron, his wife Trish and their children Brandon and Brittany.

My husband touched many hearts in his life. He is loved and will be missed by so many. But now he is at peace and in the arms of our Lord.

Because of COVID-19, a Celebration of Life will be held next year- date to be released later on.
