Obituary
Wallis-Hull Pearl Otillia of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, in her home at the age of 102. Pearl is survived by her sister Hazel (Ted) Winslow; her children Ron (Gini) Wallis, Claudia Chmielewski, Pam (Paul) Zeleznik; 7 grandchildren Lisa (Eric) Whalls, Wendy (James “Taki”) Miller, Julie (Steve) Salmen, Michael Chmielewski, Veronica Zeleznik, Erin Mullinix, Tom (Jill) Zeleznik; and 8 great grandchildren. Pearl was a cosmetologist. She worked for a variety of salons and eventually opened up her own salon in her home in Dearborn, MI. Pearl was very active in the church both in Michigan and Florida. Besides playing bridge weekly, she was an accomplished seamstress, gardener, needlework artist and even did some wood carving.
Pearl’s ashes will be placed in The Memorial Garden of First Presbyterian Church in Port Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to First Presbyterian Church (2230 Hariet Street, Port Charlotte, FL, 33952) or to a charity of donor’s choice.
