Obituary
Peggy Lee Monfils, 60 years old of Fort Myers, FL passed away unexpectedly on 9/23/20 at her home. Peggy had relocated to Fort Myers, FL approximately 4 years ago from Green Bay, WI to escape the snowy cold winters and enjoy the sun and retirement. Peggy was born in De Pere, WI and married the love of her life Ronald Dean Monfils on March 15, 1976. She spent many years as a cashier at the Oneida Casino and most recently assisted with house keeping at the apartment community in which she resided. She loved spending time with family, reading, thrift shopping, bowling, repainting furniture, and socializing with her many friends. Her puppy Coco was always by her side. Peggy had an amazing heart and it brought her much joy to help others when they needed her. Survivors include her husband of 43 years Ronald Monfils; daughter, Misty Brueckner (Jeffrey Brueckner); son, Chad Monfils (Bailey Monfils); her 4 grandchildren, Alex Brueckner, Andrew Brueckner, Jordan Monfils, and Harrison Monfils; her sisters, Gloria Vande Hei and Tina Tenor (Jeffrey Tenor); her brother, Ronald Vande Hei (Sherry Vande Hei) and numerous in-laws, friends, nieces/nephews, and other family members. She is proceeded in death by both of her parents Donna Vande Hei and Myron Vande Hei; her brothers, David Paape, Michael Vande Hei, Daniel Vande Hei, and her sister Pat Paape. In following Peggy’s wishes there will be no funeral services. Please celebrate her life and all the wonderful memories. Please remember you are not alone. Depression is…I’m exhausted from trying to be stronger than I feel. Depression is…living in a body that fights to survive, with a mind that tries to die. If you are struggling with depression, please reach out to someone. Until we meet again…
