Peter Barrett, age 78, died at the Villages on Friday, July 11, 2014. Born September 5, 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts, he lived in Wilson, NY, Niagara Falls, NY and Kalamazoo, MI and worked selling office supplies until retiring. Peter married Elinor (Petey) Blanchard in 1961 in Boston, MA. They were happily married for 53 years. Peter is survived by by his spouse Petey of The Villages, FL; his sons Patrick Barrett, of Melbourne, FL and Sean Barrett, of Topsham, ME; his sister Nancy Barrett of The Villages, FL; [his/her] grandchildren Kiara, Karsun, Harrison, and Aiden; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rita Barrett, his brother, Paul Barrett, and his daughter, Pamela Barrett. Service and interment will be held at 10am, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at The Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.
