Obituary
Ralph Felix Fernandez, age 77, of Orlando, Florida, went home to be with our Lord Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 14, 2024, surrendering to cancer but gaining an eternity with the Lord.
Born on November 25, 1946, in Tampa, Florida, to Isabel and Ralph Fernandez. The cherished only child of this Spanish heritage couple, Ralph embarked on a lifelong journey marked by love and dedication. Ralph had a unique gift that would leave those that he crossed paths with feeling loved, respected, and understood. Standing tall at 6’4″, he’s the gentlest giant one could’ve ever known; even his silence was loud.
At the tender age of 19, Ralph found his soulmate in Deana Louise Lawson, and their love story spanned an incredible 58 years, a testament to enduring commitment. Together, they raised three children, Christopher, Katherine, and Somer forming a close-knit family that now includes 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and another on the way. He ruled our family like a monarch.
Ralph dedicated 30 years of his life to the GTE Telephone Company, where his unwavering work ethic and commitment shone bright until his well-deserved retirement at the age of 65.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Ralph’s legacy extends far beyond his professional achievements. His warmth, kindness, and genuine love for his family will forever be remembered. In honoring his memory, we celebrate a life well-lived, and a man deeply cherished by all who were fortunate to know him.
We would like to honor Ralph Felix Fernandez‘s life with a service on Sunday, January 28th at 11:00 AM at the Chapel Hill cemetery, 2420 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL 32817.
