Obituary
Ray Affolder, 95, went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2018. He was born in West View, PA on January 2, 1923 and graduated from West View High School. Ray attended Carnegie Tech of Pittsburgh where he studied architecture until WWII when he was called to duty and became a cartographer in the Army Air Force and the recipient of 7 battle stars. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW Post in Mars, PA. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Zem Zem Temple in Erie, PA and also the Scottish Rite Consistory of New Castle, PA. He married Norma Lewis in 1946 and was blessed with 2 children. They have 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Betty of Pittsburgh, PA. He is predeceased by brother’s Steve and Jack and his sister Dorothy. Ray was a building contractor in the North Hills of Pittsburgh and retired part time to Florida where he then became a resident. He enjoyed ballroom dancing with his favorite partner, Norma and wife of 72 loving years.
