    Dear Barbara,
News of Phil's passing did not reach us until today, so forgive this tardy note of concern for you and your family and of our deep appreciation of the Ministry that Phil offered to so many. His legacy of care for seniors among us remains a great gift to the UCC and uncounted others. Wishing you God's peace, Tom Dipko, Ohio Conference Minister, Retired.

I just learned of Phil's passing today, my heart absolutely aches. There isn't a day that you two don't come to mind. You both mean so much to Brannon and me. Please know we love you Barbara and thinking about you often

Dear Barb and family. I just learned of Phil's passing from the communication's officer at UCH. While many years have passed since our paths have crossed, my memories of my experience at UCH are the most positive when Phil was my boss. He was very supportive and permitted me to grow as a person in ways I never expected. His commitment to the mission became my mantra, which I maintained until my retirement in 2008. His concerns for our residents was always one of my priorities. Kristy's and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Ron

    Dear Barbara & Family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of Phil's passing. An old friend, Jim Minehart, shared it with me today. It has been a long time, too long, since we connected but you should know that I often reflect on the marvelous experiences we all had while working for the wonderful ministry of United Church Homes in Upper Sandusky, OH. Phil provided great leadership and was a true mentor to me and many others during our time together. Please know that you and the family will be in our thoughts and prayers throughout this difficult time.
    Peace & blessings,
    Bruce

Barbara and family, I was saddened to hear about Phil's death. My memories of Phil were the times I would see him as I visited his Mother in Ephrata. He was a very kind and thoughtful man. He was also very supportive to my cousin, Bob Major as he endured a terminal illness. May God be close to you all and give you the comfort that only He can give. My prayers and sympathies are with you.

    Dear Barbara,
Judine and I are sorry to read of Phil's leaving us.
The Sebring community lost an important part of it when you and Phil left. Phil was an exceptional man and made a contribution in many ways - especially with Meals on Wheels.
Please accept our condolences and thanks for the contributions you both made here.
    Al and Judine Howard

So sorry to read about Rev. Laucks! He was my administrator when I worked at Bishop's Glen 30 years ago. He loved the residents and the staff. He referred himself as Uncle Phil to the employees children. He was so kind and had a wonderful smile. My thoughts and prayers to you Barbara and family.

  11. Rev. Dr. Nelson A L Weller says:

    Barbara,
We offer you our sympathy on Phil's passing. We first met Phil as a teenager when he and his mother worshiped with us at Limerick and continued our friendship when you were in NC. We now live in Piedmont Crossing, one of the facilities he oversaw when he was in NC and I will note his death in our monthly newsletter.
