Obituary
Rex Raymond Reiber passed away on February 13, 2022 at the age of 79. He was a life long resident of Akron, Ohio prior to retiring & moving to Ocala, Florida in 2020. He was a member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church in Akron and Ocala West United Methodist Church. He proudly served 6 years in the US Air Force and was selected to participate in the Honor Flight for Veterans.
Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Rex & Margaret; son, Rex “Rocky”; brother-in-law Lowell “Rusty” Deem (Karen), and niece Donna Stekle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Anne, son Andrew (Francie); grandson Joshua (Averie); granddaughters Paige (Chad); and Francesca; brother Rick (Karen); sister-in-law Darlene (John) Thornton, and many nieces, nephews & dear friends.
Rex enjoyed traveling with his wife, attending class reunions & fishing. He placed love of family & spending quality time with them above all.
To honour his time in the service, a military ceremony will take place at Florida National Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, Monday, March 21, at 10:30 am.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in Akron, OH at the Green Valley United Methodist Church, date & time to be determined.
