Obituary

In loving memory of Richard Green (Dickie, Pappy, Rocky)

Richard Green passed away peacefully July 10th 2022, at the age of 90 years young in Daytona Beach Florida. Richard was born October 27th 1931, in Boston Massachusetts. He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston. Richard was a national manpower recruiter and trainer for 55 years with combined insurance. He traveled all over for work which he enjoyed a lot. Traveling was one of his passions. He traveled to every single state in the country, as well as other countries. He brightened up every room he entered.

Richard was always very joyful and friendly. He had many nicknames, and one was “The Joly Green Giant” which his company named him. He made everyone he came into contact with laugh. Not only did Richard share his humor everywhere he went but he also made sure to spread his strong positivity with everyone and anyone. While working for combined insurance he came across two mottos that he held on to for the rest of his life. One was “PMA” which stands for positive mental attitude and the other was “what the mind of man can conceive and believe, the mind of man can achieve”. Not only did Richard give amazing motivational speeches in front of hundreds of people for his company but he also gave the best pep talks to whoever he felt needed it in his personal life. Richard not only talked the talk, but he also walked the walk with his PMA motto. He never allowed anything to put him in a bad mood for too long. He cherished life and his loved ones deeply.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife Raynee, son Michael, daughters Aarti and Carol, and nieces Deborah and Sharon. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Richard was also a huge animal lover. The family asks that you make a donation to Halifax Humane Society in honor and memory of Richard Green. Below is the link that will take you directly to the donation page on their website. Thank you.
