Obituary
Richard H. Hale, 80, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away on December 14, 2022 after a long illness.
Richard graduated from Arms Academy Class of ’60. After graduation, he joined the Marine Corps and served for four years aboard the USS Boston. He went to Greenfield Community College and transferred to the University of Massachusetts to receive his degree in Engineering. Richard also earned his Master’s In Business Administration as well as a Master’s in Computer Science from Rivier College. He worked as an engineer for Nashua Corp. and also as a materials manager. He later worked as a S.A.P. consultant for Nova Corp in Massachusetts and then IBM in Raleigh, North Carolina.
He is predeceased by his parents, Nathan and Gertrude Hale of Buckland, Massachusetts, his niece Maile Hale, sister-in-law Carol Ann Hale and brother-in-law Peter Jacob.
Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon Hale, his brothers, Rob Hale of Hawaii and Stephen Hale (Lynne) of Vermont, sister Susan Firestone (Bill) of Pennsylvania, mother-in-law, Helen Peterson of Arizona, sister-in-laws, Gail Pearce of Massachusetts and Nancy Goodwin (Ray) of Arizona, brother-in-law James Peterson (Sue) of New Hampshire, and all of his wonderful nieces and nephews.
Interment will be Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 10:00 am at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
