Obituary

Richard Lee Warr, 91, of Fort Myers Beach and Toledo Ohio, passed away January 24, 2021, at Shell Point HealthCare in Fort Myers, FL. Born November 07, 1929 in Philipsburg, PA., he was the son of George Washington Warr and Pamella Nuttall.

Richard is survived by his three daughters, Deborah Mayfield, Patricia Lee Williams (Archie Jr.), Tina Bashore (Jim), Grandchildren Jeremy Lee (Erin) Williams, Kristin (Tim) See, Bryan (Marcy) Williams, Corinne Mayfield, Haley Bashore (Sam Dumas), Great Grandchildren Aidan See, Andrew Williams, Carter Williams, Lily Williams, Samuel See, Augusta Williams and Hadlee Dumas. He is also survived by his companion of 29 years Elaine Madrzykowski and her son Gary and many nieces and nephews.

Lee was proceeded in death by Joan his wife of 43 years, his brother Matt and sister in law Gladys Nuttall, Mother-in-law Caroline Petroff, sister in law Evelyn Woda, brother in laws Melvin Woda (Shirley), Norman Woda (Gerri), Joe Woda, Bob Woda (Janice) and son in law William P. Mayfield Jr.

Lee was a proud United States marine PFC and served his country while stationed in Okinawa.

Lee worked for Dana Corporation in Toledo for 30 years retiring in 1988. He also worked for the railroad prior to Dana.

He was a great father, grandfather and Big Papa to his great grandchildren. Lee loved spending time with his family at his cottage on Sandusky Bay where he taught his grand children to fish. He also enjoyed the annual family visits to his Fort Myers Beach home. Lee enjoyed golfing with family and Fort Myers friends. He also was a big hockey fan attending many hockey games at the old Sports Arena in Toledo before his snow bird days. Lee enjoyed watching Major League baseball and discussing the Detroit Tigers. Lee and Elaine did many things during their 29 years together including 27 cruises, enjoying happy hour, playing cards with friends and maintaining an active lifestyle.

Lee wished to be cremated and to have his ashes distributed in Sandusky Bay where he will rejoin his wife Joan.
