    Dad,
There are no words that I can write in this small space that can capture a lifetime. Since I was a little girl you were my amazing father and I was your “pookie”. I thank God that he blessed by giving me the lifetime of being your daughter. I will miss you every day, but I understand that God called you home. I pray that one day he blesses me again by bringing the family together in heaven. I love you~Pookie

Dad, where do I start; the last 23 years you became my other dad, but when mine left me ten years ago, you stepped into first place. Others do not know the deep connection between us but we knew. Whether it was out by the grill sneaking beers so mom couldn't see (I'm sure she knew though), two for one at Chili's, or hopping in the pool and hanging out watching TV, you were the only parent in my life I'd ever been able to do that with and I thank you for the memories. You accepted my children as yours, and the grandchildren. You lit up all of their eyes when you giggled and teased with them and they called you their "buddy". The night time sneak outs you did with the boys to Dennys, the drop off and pick up to work for the oldest two, the lunch deliveries to schools, for all of that, I thank you for giving them the memories. Mom is missing you, but unbeknownst to us, you called my phone and left a conversation with her I will forever keep. She will be taken care of so do not fret, we have got this for you. All the children and grandchildren will be taken care of also and memories will continue to be made. You made this world a better place with your laughter, love, and compassion for helping people. Its really really hard walking into the house not hearing you say, "Hey Babe". Until we meet again Dad, rest easy Pops, I love you.

Dad...thanks for always being there and guiding me right. You were the best dad anyone could have. It has been only a few days and you are missed more than you can ever imagine. I promise to take care of mom and the family and continue to make everyone laugh as you did!! The days have been empty as my duties of POA have been grinded to almost a halt! I know that you are with us...you have already left us signs. Go visit Germany and we will see you again on the other side. Rest easy and in peace. I love you dad!!
