Obituary

Ricky Earl Schaible passed away on April 1, 2024, in his Tavares, FL home following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

Rick was born on Jan 24, 1962, in Michigan, and was 1 of 6 siblings. He moved to Florida in 1978 with his family, where he met and married his wife Debbie in 1981. They shared nearly 43 years together and had 3 children who gave them 17 grandchildren with 1 more currently on the way.

In his 62 years of life, Rick had been many things. He’d been a cast member at Disney, he owned and operated several successful bread and snack cake routes for different companies, he was church deacon, a landlord, the owner and operator of a Dairy Queen. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend to anyone he ever met.

But the biggest and most important thing that Rick ever was, is a husband, father, and grandfather. Rick always put his family first, no matter what. He led his family with love, generosity, strength, laughter, honesty, kindness, humor, resilience, patience, tenacity, and more than a few curse words over the years.

Rick was bigger than life. He loved hard and was loved well. He will be deeply and incredibly missed, and forever remembered.

Rick was survived by his loving wife, Debra Schaible; his mother Marilyn Walsh; his daughter Kandi Firestone and her 3 children Jayce, Lilly, and Harlyn; his daughter Traci Cyr and her 5 children Bianca, Aurora, Mathias, Maliya, Makayla, and Flora-Mae (on the way); his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey & Jayme Schaible, and their children Lola, Sophia, James, Jackson, Olivia, Abigail, and Lucas; his brothers Dean, Tom, and Benjamin; and his sisters Tina and Cheyanne.

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Orville Schaible Oct 7, 1940-Feb 2, 2006

A viewing and a family-led service will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society on Friday, April 12, 2-4pm.
