Obituary

Rita Adams, 84, of the Village of Mallory Square, the Villages, Florida, and a former long-time resident of Lake Grove, NY, passed away Saturday after a brief illness. Born in Middletown, NY on August 21, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Mariono and Olga (Masi) Testa. Rita is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard C. Adams. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Richard C. Adams Jr. of the Villages, FL, her daughter Charlene Geary and her husband Sean of Norwood, MA, her grandchildren Shannon Rose Geary and Collin T. Geary and her sisters, Linda Testa of Long Island, NY and Gloria Versland of Norway. To all who were lucky enough to know her, Rita was one of a kind. Funny and feisty, she was a hard-working lady who spent her life taking care of others. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date by her family. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.

Rita was kind and generous, kept a lovely home, and always seemed to be in a good mood. You couldn’t help but like Rita.
And, on top of that, she was a good mah-jongg player! Rita will be missed by many.
