Obituary
Robert (Bobby) James Pelleteri Jr, 76, of Hawthorne, passed away peacefully & comfortably at home on Friday November 25, 2022.
Bobby was born in Lyndhurst, New Jersey on October 25, 1946 to Robert & Marcella Pelleteri, later moving with the family as a young child to Ft. Lauderdale.
Bobby joined the US Army in 1966, where he served as a Combat Medic in Vietnam during the Vietnam era and did so until Honorably Discharged in 1968. He married Karen Bostic Pelleteri on March 27, 1976. He was employed after the military as a semi truck driver, and was encouraged to start his own business as an Owner/Operator Transport Specialist. The business obtained numerous heavy haul contracts thru out the United States, finally securing a U.S. military contract relocating equipment, commodities & jet fuel for the military which continued until his retirement & the closure of the business.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife Karen Pelleteri, his daughter Audra (Derek) Edwards, grandson Tyler Edwards, granddaughter Calei Edwards.
His sisters, Marsha Krell, Joan Douglass, & Michelle (Keith) Colesberry, as well as several nieces & nephews, also 2 sons & 4 grandchildren from a previous marriage.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert & Marcella Pelleteri, niece Laura Krell, & nephew, Jackson Jerolaman.
A Celebration of Life for Bobby will be planned and announced at a later date.
