Obituary
Robert Michael DeBoer passed peacefully on September 23, 2021.
Robert was born on October 26, 1946 to Henry and Lola DeBoer. He grew up in the Kalamazoo area until the age of 17 when he enlisted in the Navy and served in the Vietnam War on the Destroyer, H.J. Thomas. Upon returning he began his lifelong career in Information Technology. This led him to further his education and graduate from LaGrange College in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Rob retired to Florida in 2017 with his wife to enjoy the warmth and sunshine.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Lola, Father Henry, Sister Jackie & Brother Jim.
Rob is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Susan. His son Andrew of Charlotte, NC, daughter Gretchen (Larry) and children Adelyn and Owen of De Pere, WI, sister Jan (Joe) Franzone of Houston, TX. Niece Brandy (John) Verrett, sons Stephen, Cole and Jarrett of Guyton, GA as well as niece Gina (Tom) Waldon and daughters Marissa and Grace of Houston, TX.
He was a loving father and very proud Grandfather. Rob was a devoted Republican and was honored to serve his country. He was an avid golfer, loved playing poker with his buddies and enjoyed his Dewars Scotch, especially while watching Fox News. He will be missed greatly by his family and his Goldendoodle, Murphy.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life at a later date. #TRUMP2024
