Obituary
Robert Charles Kent, 73, went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2021. Robert was born to Harold and Paula Kent on January 20, 1948 in Racine, Wisconsin. As a young man he served in the Marine Corp during Vietnam as a Sniper from 1966-69. Robert enlisted in the Marine Corp at age 18 and was trained at Quantico. He served 4 tours of active duty. Robert also obtained an Associate degree while living in Marshalltown, IA. He had many hobbies but one that he was most proud of was building his own wooden boat in which he won a national award. He built 2 1929 Racing Runabout boats. Robert was also an avid scuba diver, Realtor, member of the Wooden Boaters of America and Veterans Club of America. He is survived by his loving wife Kay Holland; stepdaughter Deborah (West) Waddell of Adel, IA; stepson, Charles and Jean West of Adel, IA; brother, Gregory Kent of New Hampshire; sister, Edl-Lu Wartella of Nashua, NH and their beloved poodle Annie of 11.5 years. Robert will be missed by many and services will be announced at a later date.
