Obituary

Robert M Davie, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2020 in Leesburg, Florida.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Jean Davie, his son Bobby Davie, and his daughter Julie Davie. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Erin and Bret Lauer, and Tyler Davie as well as his great-grandchildren Grace, Duncan and Connor. Bob is survived by his brother Earle Davie, a 97 year old WWII Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thelma and Earle Davie and three sisters Elsie, Muriel and Jacqueline.

Bob was born on February 14, 1937 in Flint, Michigan and had a wonderful 45 year career in the automotive industry. He loved to be in his favorite place in the upper peninsula of Michigan hunting with his son and nephews. He will be greatly missed and remembered for his great laugh.

At the family’s request there will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, they ask for donations be sent in his name to the American Heart Association. https://www.heart.org

    I worked with Bob for many years and traveled together all over the world promoting our automotive parts business. We had some fabulous experiences and lots of laughs. Bob was one of my mentors. His great laugh and sense of humor will be missed. Jean, I’m sure that you and your family will miss Bob dearly. Our prayers are with you.
