Obituary
Robert Terry Newell was born August 10, 1943 in Kalamazoo, MI to Robert Frank Newell and Beatrice Viola (Hamilton) Newell.
He grew up on a farm and his early childhood was spent searching for and collecting Indian Arrowheads and playing baseball.
In 1965, he took a job in the Job Corps Program that lasted three years. Mr. Newell was interested in a career in law enforcement, but ultimately made his living as an insurance adjuster. He retired in 2012.
Mr. Newell’s hobbies included scuba diving, while water rafting, boating, fishing, softball, racquetball, tennis, and golf.
Mr. Newell is survived by his wife Mery, daughters Kim (Jim), Cindy (Mike), and Michelle (Eric), son Moises, sister Sharon Peters, and seven grandchildren Jason, Brad, Katy, Abby, Lindsey, Peyton, and Grace. He was preceded in death by his grandson Chris.
Mr. Newell passed away peacefully at his home with his wife Mery faithfully by his side on June 2, 2021.
