Obituary
Robert Francis “Chico” Simoes passed away at Leesburg Regional Hospital on May 26, 2018 from complications of surgery. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Rose (Gaudioso) Simoes and his sister Jacqueline Unger. He is survived by his devoted companion of 29 years Eileen “Tofte” Patton; children, Sherri Zak, Lisa Simoes, Christopher (Leslie) Simoes; five step children, Lisa, James, Jeffrey, Bryan and Robert Patton; eighteen grandchildren; sister Sandra (Richard) Werdann and seven nieces and nephews. Robert was president of DISL, a starter at Richter Park Golf Course, very involved with the Democratic party for many years, an avid golfer, bowler and softball player. He owned Custom Electronics. He attended St. Joseph’s School and graduated from Danbury High School in 1959. For the last 13 years he resided in The Villages, Florida and was a member of St. Marks Roman Catholic Church. He also belonged to and enjoyed a number of social clubs especially the valdesto social club. With declining health, he became an avid free cell player and enjoyed friends visits and playing aggrevation. He loved his family including a large extended family. Rest in peace.
